Doing PO creation using ME21N. On occasion when saving the PO we get an ABAP dump with a message BDC_ZERO_DIVIDE where there is a division by zero (type P) in SAPXLM08. The PO creates fine and is sent to the supplier. We've never been able to replicate the error in test. has anyone else come across this? We're on ECC6.0 Thanks!

Updating order acknowledgement in PO
Dear SAP experts,
We are in ECC 6.05 and we are using Confirmation Control Key that require Order Acknowledgement to be given in PO before GR can be done. However as Confirmation is in item level and we are talking about huge numbers of PO line items, we need to have a tool so user can do mass update for the order acknowledgement (AB) in the PO.
I see that there are some entries discussing this already, one mention about tcode MASS. However this tcode cannot update fields in EKES (vendor confirmation) such as EBTYP, MENGE, etc.which is required in this case.
Is there any standard way to achieve this objective?
Best regards,
John
Multiple approvers in PR Release Strategy
Hi All,
I am doing configuration for PR Release Strategy ,
In that i want Multiple approvers in the same level, once any one is Approved then ,Release Should go to next Person.
Like .
In First level , XXXX Can Approve,
In Second level two Persons YYYY and ZZZZ are approvers, in this if any one approves (YYYY or ZZZZ) then it should go to Next level AAAA.
So if AAAA Approves then Release Should Completed.
Please any one help me in this.

MIRO - Prevent modification of referenced PO Quantity and/or Amount
Hello guys,
Is there any way thru configuration/authorizationsto preventthe Invoicing clerk from being able to modify the referenced PO line quantity and/or amount on the MIRO screen? As long as users have ability to do this modification, any tolerances set thru OMEU or OMR6 can be overridden, and our auditors are giving us hell on this.
Any solutions will be greatly appreciated..
Thanks and regards,

Change PO Email Attachment Name
Hi Guys,
I've implemented SAP Note 191470 to change the subject line and the attachment name to contain the PO number. I was successful in changing the subject line but not the attachment name. Currently, the attachment name is defaulted by SAP to 'Print data'.
In the note, it states:
Note that the values from the mail title are used to create the description for the attachment.
I've maintained the mail title in the condition record for the output type on the 'Communication method' tab page in the 'Cover Page Text' field but to no avail. I'm probably missing a step.
I did my due diligence by searching the internet but I haven't found any solution.
Any help would definitely be appreciated. <removed by moderator>
Thanks in advance,
Derick

some problem on STO Vendor Return (movement 673)
Hi,
We're using standard SAP cross company stock transfer process and would like to perform cross company stock return, and we faced some problem using the standard SAP STO return method (i.e. delivery type: NCR, movement type: 673).
Let's me illustrate the problem.
Example,
Plant A of company code AA performing a part return to Plant B of company code BB (return-to party).<< note different company codes>>
See following flow for my explanation:
Problem:
- PICKING LIST PRINTING PROBLEM;
During delivery order (DO) creation of step 2 during my testing in system, the plant value defaulted to Plant B and Plant B's storage location. Now this become a problem given that printing of picking list should be performed out from Plant A. Because DO default to Plant B, that's means picking list printout become plant B (which does not make any sense since plant A warehouse stuff is to picked parts in warehouse to perform the return to plant B). - OWNERSHIP OF EXECUTION OF TRANSACTION;
Because of the Step 2 problem (i.e. plant in DO defaulted to plant B), the ownership of performing the above transaction become confusing. It seems step 2, step 4 which are suppose to be performed by plant A user, it become a responsibility for plant B user to perform step 2, which doesn't make any sense?
I suspects the problem is because the vendor that use to simulate Plant B is tied to plant B object in the vendor master (but this is part of requirement for standard SAP cross company stock transfer model).
Hope you can provide a clue if you happen to have this area of experience on cross company returning.

Daniel
tax code button under invoice tab in me23n not working
Hi Experts,
I have gone through the previous posts but solution for this nature of problem not found.
It is happening like in one system with 4.7 the tax calculations are visible after clicking the tax code push button in ME23N under the invoice tab.
But in other server with ECC6.0 and ehp6 the same document is not showing the tax calculations.
This also happening for a specific tax code, other documents with different tax codes are working fine in ecc6 server.
Checked the tax code and configurations along with fv13 in both the environment no changes are found.
The said document is a posted document in miro and gr all the relevant taxes are showing but not in PO.
Seeking solution for the same.

Incorrect exchange rate at MIRO
Dear experts,
We are changing the exchange rate manually at MIRO transaction.
When the manually maintained rate is quite different from the one at OB08 the system works fine (warning message: "Exchange rate x daviates from table rate y by 0,30%" appears).
But if the manually maintained rate is within a small range the system doesn't use it and uses the one at OB08, leading to meaningful differences on the amount in the local currency.
As an example:
OB08 Rate: 295,69767
With manually maintained rate 296,29629 it doesn't work (system uses 295,69767 rate).
With manually maintained rate 296,29630 it works!
Any idea of why is this happening? Has anybody faced this issue before? Do you know a enhancement point or user-exit where we could change the rate (to be sure the system picks the manually maintained)?
Thanks in advanced,
Fortian
Sub Contracting Process
Dear All,
I request you all to please share your experiance in below sub contracting business process. Also share excise related points which need to take care :
We are sending Raw Material say "RM" from PLANT1 to PLANT2 for processing. Against which we will redeived materials M1, waste material W1 and W2.
We have prepared BOM of M1 material showning RM as Consumption, waste material W1 & W2 as By product in both plant PLANT1 and PLANT2.
Prepare Sub Contracting Purchase order of material M1 using BOM.
Prepare Sales order "SO1" in PLANT1 for job work.
Shows RM receipt at PLANT2 against sales order "SO1".
Shows production of material M1, Waste material W1 and W2 in PLANT2. Stock is with Special stock "E" under sales order "SO1".
We are sending Material M1 which is in chemical once in a two days agains sales order "SO1".
Waster material we are not sending with material M1. For sending waste material W1 and W2 we are creating new
sales order "SO2" (qty as per planned dispatch) for job work and transfer stock from "SO1" to "SO2" for transfering
waste material from PLANT2 to PLANT1. Because legaly we have to send waste material to PLANT1.
Now in PLANT1 we cannot inward only W1 or W2. To inward we must show receipt of M1 material along with W1 or W2. Due to that
reason we are transfering minimum qty say 0.01 kg
of "M1" material along with waste materal W1 or W2.
So whenever we need to transfer waste material, we are transfering waste material from sales SO1 to SO2. After that we
dispatch waste material from PLANT1 to PLANT2 along
with minimum qty of Material M1 say 0.01 kg.
We take the receipt of Waste material and material "M1" in PLANT1 against sub contracting purchase order. After recept
in MMBE waste material stock show as "Stock Provided to Vendor".
Because recept of component item i.e. waster material shows 545 movement.
so we are transfering waste mateial stock from "Stock Provided to Vendor" to own stock using 542 movement.
Thanks and Regards,

configurable material & ME22N &
For all sales orders with configurable material and procurement Requirements type KE,
MD02 gererates a Preq
When we convert the preq into a purchase order via ME21N the dependency editor is executed.
In the table EKPO the field OrigConfig is set to 2 “Own Configuration”.
The Net Weight and Gross Weight is calculated.
When we convert the preq into a purchase order via ME22N the dependency editor is not executed.
In the table EKPO the field OrigConfig is set to 1 “not yet configured”.
The Net Weight and Gross Weight is not calculated. This poses some problems with the vendor.

Purchase order pricing
Hi experts,
I have to send purchase order to vendor for one material ,But delivery should be at 3 different location so pricing also vary as per the location so how to map this scenario for correct material valuation at different location.
Error" not possible to determine a consumption account" in sales order
i am getting error " not possible to determine a consumption account' while creating sales order for third party.
I checked all those settings in automatic account determinations are correct.
In that same sales order another line item material with same material type & plant are not getting this error & PR generated successfully.
i suspecting on material master anything has to change. please help.....

Parental Supplier Relationship
Hi Team,
We have a business scenario and need your advice.
Client is Industrial Equipment Manufacturing company.
Suppliers (vendors) also like big concerns with various divisions and manufacturing units at different locations.
The existing legacy system setup is one parent vendor and multiple child vendors and they have some cross reference table to map the parent and child vendor relationships. (One parent vendor can have multiple child vendors)
They wont order / create PO for parent vendor. Parent vendors are only for reporting purpose to see how much they ordered as over all group of all child vendors for a time period. They order / create PO only for child vendor.
Some times one child vendor is ordering address, goods supplier and remit to like all functions.
But, Some times one child vendor is ordering address and the goods supplier and remit to is different child vendor under the parent vendor.
The couple of options which we are thinking is SAP Vendor Master Corporate Group field under control data, SAP Partner Function, SAP Vendor and Vendor Subrange setup.
How to handle this?
Thanks

Price control problem in subcontracting
Hi All,
I would like to be able to valuate a Sub Contracted Material on Moving Average Price. The material was initially set for 'S'. I changed it to V recently.
But when I post the GR for this parent material, system is still taking the valuation at Standard Price for the parent component which was subcontracted & set with V indicator in the material master.
Is it that Subcontracted materials need to be always Standard Price?
Please let me know why system is considering the Standard price in GR even though the price control indicator is 'V'. I am not getting this problem in quality system.
Kindly provide the resolution for the same.
Regards,
SAP MM.
